As a Domiciliary Care and Supported Living Support Worker your duties are varied. You might support a person to go to college, the shops amongst other activities as deem fit. The duties may also include some support with personal care needs, as well as providing help to take part in a wide range of special interest and activities that support our resident’s health & wellbeing such as arts and crafts, watching footie, drama, or shopping trips. Most importantly, you will be equipped and expected to promote person-centred care, promote privacy & dignity and as well their independence
Full UK or International driver’s license is not necessary / essential but may be of importance (desirable)

Support is tailored individually to the person to enable them to maintain positive lifestyles in their own home and local community.
Whilst most of our service users have been diagnosed with learning disability, Autism mental/physical health needs or even undiagnosed, the people we support are individuals and have to be treated as an individual who has right to everything other citizens and people have. Some will rely on you to get through the day and others might not; it all depends on their need requirements.
Building strong bonds with the people we support’s families and our wider team, our Support Workers soon start feeling like one of the family. It’s a rare privilege, and an opportunity to achieve your potential – whilst helping others to reach theirs too.
You’ll need a positive ‘can do’ approach and a flexible approach to work. This busy position requires excellent interpersonal and communication skills
